• Note: Filled positions exceeds the number of employee, as some individuals hold multiple part-time roles
• In contrast to recent years, 2024 saw an increase in employees, filled positions and full-time equivalent roles – reaching the highest levels in six years
• The size of directorates has remained relatively stable year-on-year
• Housing, Neighbourhood and Building Services, Children, Families and Education, and Adult Services consistently represent the largest directorates, collectively accounting for at least 60% of employees
• Portsmouth International Port, Public Health and Executive remain the smallest directorates, together accounting for less than 5% of the workforce
