• Just over a third of employees are male and almost two-thirds are female – this is consistent year-on-year since 2021
• The council are under-representing males when compared to the profile of residents (ONS census 2021)
• Just over a third of staff work part-time (36%), they are most likely to be female (only 6% are male)
• Consistently Portsmouth International Port is the only directorate where males form the majority of staff (84%, which is down from 87% last year)
