Employee retention rate is the proportion of staff employed for the whole of 2019

• PCC retained 89% of employees
• All directorates had high retention rates, with the Executive directorate having a 100% retention rate and the Corporate Services directorate having the lowest retention rate (81%)
• In total, 365 people began working at PCC and 428 people left PCC during 2019
• January and April are peak months for new starters (both 47)
• July and September are peak months for leavers (both 45), closely followed by March (43), April (41) and May (42)
