Sample demographics

• Around a quarter of tenants are 65 years or older, whilst around a fifth each are aged 35-44, 45-54, or 55-64. Just 2% are aged 18-24
• The majority of tenants are female (63%), whilst 37% are male
• The majority of tenants are White or White British (90%), whilst 4% are Asian/Asian British, 3% Black/Black British. 1% are from mixed/ multiple ethnic groups and 2% from other ethnic groups
• There is a fairly even split between tenants with and without a disability; 45% have a disability and 55% do not
• Of those with a disability, the highest proportion report a physical/mobility disability (61%), followed by mental ill health (31%)
