Reasons for visiting Eastney Swimming Pool

• Over half of these respondents visited Eastney Swimming Pool for recreational swimming sessions (52%), followed closely by lane swimming (48%).
• Respondents who selected ‘specific clubs or activities’ were asked which club or activity they attended. Adult-only swimming sessions were the most popular (29%).
• Similar proportions of respondents had visited as part of Portsmouth Northsea, Halcyon Swimming Club, and Octopush. Just over one in ten had also used the pool as part of the Portsmouth Victoria Synchro Club (11%).

The following chart shows that most respondents who have ever visited Eastney Swimming Pool would visit for recreational swimming (52%). 48% visited for lane swimming, 17% visited for children’s swimming lessons, 7% visited for specific clubs or activities, 5% visited for child’s school use, 3% visited for adult swimming lessons, 2% visited for group classes, 2% visited for diving or scuba diving, 2% visited for other reasons.

The following chart shows that the most popular club or activity used by those who visited Eastney Swimming Pool was adult-only swim sessions (29%). 17% visited for Portsmouth Northsea, 17% visited for Halcyon Swimming Club, 16% visited for Octopush, 11% visited for PVSC, 9% visited for gender-specific sessions, 9% visited for wet and wacky sessions, 8% visited for kayak training, 2% visited for canoe club, and 8% visited for other clubs or activites.
