Disadvantages of the School Street

• The main disadvantage experienced since the School Street has been in place is witnessing non-authorised vehicles driving into the School Street zone without a permit (66%)
• Over half (55%) have witnessed parents arriving early to park in the School Street zone
• Those selecting ‘Other’ either provide more detail about vehicles arriving early in the zone or mention anti-social behaviour continuing to be an issue or even increasing. A few residents also find it inconvenient to require an additional parking permit. These themes are explored further in later findings
• The top two disadvantages for parents and residents are having witnessed a non-authorised vehicle driving into the zone and witnessing a parent arriving early to park in the zone
• A slightly higher proportion of residents compared to parents think that the school street has moved illegal parking into surrounding roads (23% vs 20% respectively)
