- The main benefit is improved safety. Other benefits are it being easier to cross the road and a nicer place to be. It has also stopped vehicles parking illegally on the School Street
- The disadvantages centre on non-permitted vehicles entering the zone and increased traffic in surrounding roads
Support and suggested changes
- There is overwhelming positivity for the School Street with 91% in support and only 2% against. Over three-quarters of respondents think it works well in its current form
- For those who would like to see some changes the main point raised is to make the one-way signage on Talbot Road clearer including painting lines onto the road. Some also comment on the lack of enforcement and the small minority who do not follow the regulations
