- Overall, the majority of respondents feel that the School Streets scheme trial has resulted in a number of positive changes with over three-quarters of respondents agreeing that their street ‘is accessible’ (‘strongly agree’ – 56%, ‘agree’ – 23%) and that the ‘street is a sociable space for child(ren)’ since the cars were removed (‘strongly agree’ – 50%, ‘agree’ – 26%)
- Two-thirds of respondents are in agreement that their school street is ‘an attractive space to be in’ (‘strongly agree’ – 42%, ‘agree’ – 24%), and just under two-thirds of agree that their school street is ‘a sociable space for me’ (‘strongly agree’ – 44%, ‘agree’ – 19%)
- The results for St Jude’s are generally similar to the overall results, with the majority of respondents showing agreement for all statements
- Results for Bramble show much more divergence, with 92% of respondents showing agreement for ‘the street is more sociable for child(ren)’ due to a large increase in the response rate for ‘agree’ (71%) when compared to St Jude’s
- The level of agreement within Bramble drops for both ‘the school street is a social place for me’ (‘strongly agree’ – 7%, ‘agree’ – 36%) and ‘the street is an attractive place to be’ (‘strongly agree’ – 7%, ‘agree’ – 50%) when compared to St Jude’s
