Changes in travel behaviour

• Just under a fifth of the total sample report that the School Streets scheme changed the way children travel to or from school (19%).
• The school with the highest proportion of reported change was St Jude’s (26%)
• During and post-trial, all forms of active travel have increased when travelling to and from school
• Most noticeably, scoot /skate is up by 9-11%, and Park & Stride is up by 12-15%
• There are slight increases for those cycling or walking to/from school (+2-4%)
• Travelling by car (for the whole journey) has decreased by 39-48%
