- Just over half of respondents with a child attending the school ‘strongly agree’ that they feel their children are safer when walking along the school street with an adult (53%)
- Levels of ‘strong agreement’ with this statement are less when an adult is removed from the situation, decreasing to just over a quarter of respondents ‘strongly agreeing’ that they feel it is safe for their child to walk along the street alone (28%)
- For respondents without children attending a School Streets school (i.e. residents and teachers), levels of ‘strong agreement’ regarding street safety were higher for children ‘with an adult’ (57%) than ‘without an adult’ (48%)
