Satisfaction with cultural activities

Summary

  • Dissatisfaction levels are low, less than 20% across all criteria. However, a large proportion of residents report being neither satisfied nor dissatisfied
  • Just under half of residents were satisfied with the location and quality of the activities (47% and 44%)
  • Residents reported least satisfaction with the cost (20%) and range of cultural activities on offer (19%)

Key differences by demographic

Sex

Males are less satisfied than females across all criteria

Age

The number of residents who are ‘very satisfied’  generally decreases with age, with the exception of ‘range of activities’ which shows mixed results across age groups

Ethnic group

More residents from white ethnic groups are ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ according to these criteria in comparison to those from ethnic minority backgrounds, except for ‘accessibility’
