Background

In 2020 the government released its Social Housing White Paper that looks to assess how well social housing landlords in England are doing at providing quality homes and to improve things for people living in social housing. One of the steps brings in a set of annual tenant satisfaction measures to achieve these aims and understand how well social housing landlords are meeting expectations. The tenant satisfaction measures capture perceptions of repair quality, safety maintenance, handling tenant’s complaints effectively, respectful tenant engagement, and landlords’ responsibility for managing their neighbourhoods. The Tenant Satisfaction Measures Standard came into effect on 1 April 2023. This reports details the feedback from the first annual tenant satisfaction measures survey.
