Summary:
- The vast majority of respondents would like reliable services (92%)
- Up-to-date timetable information displayed at bus stations / stop (RTI) was also popular (83%)
- Selected by at least three-quarters of respondents is a clean travel environment (76%) and accessible timetable information (75%)
- Friendly and helpful drivers are also important to respondents (71%) as are safe services (69%) and clear route information (68%)
- Less than two thirds of respondents want a comfortable travel environment (65%), bus services accessible to all (64%) and bus stops and waiting areas maintained (65%) included in a bus charter
- Easy to understand fares is less of an issue (58%) as is bus travel being prioritised on the road (51%)
- 16% of respondents made suggestions of other things they would like included in a bus charter, these include affordable or cheaper fares, more fare options, more routes and more frequent services, as well as environmental comments such as having eco-friendly / electric buses
