Palmerston Road consultation: summary of future vision

Summary

• An overwhelming majority of respondents would like to see the temporary road closure on Palmerston Road become permanent (89%)
• The highest percentage of respondents to select that the road closure should be made permanent were visitors (92%)
• Whilst base sizes are small, businesses were the highest percentage of respondents to select to re-open the road to vehicles (36%)

This chart summarises what respondents feel should be the future vision of the road. Overall a majority of respondents (89%) feel that the road closure should be made permanent whilst 7% feel the road should be reopened to vehicles. 3% of respondents were undecided. Visitors were the strongest supporters of making the road closure permanent (92%) whilst businesses were the least supportive (64%).
