Palmerston Road residents: future vision

Summary

• The vast majority of residents would like Palmerston Road to remain closed to vehicles as it is now (83%), whereas 12% would prefer it to be reopened to vehicles
• A larger proportion of residents living on connecting roads would like Palmerston Road to remain closed to vehicles (24 percentage points difference)
• The majority of residents (87%) felt they had previously explained their reasoning as to why they felt this way, whilst 13% further explained their reasons

This chart shows a summary of support levels with proposed approaches to the road closure. 83% of residents support keeping the road closed as it is now whereas 12% would prefer it to be reopened to vehicles. Residents living on Palmerston Road were more opposed to having the road closure made permanent (32%) compared to residents on connecting road (10%).
