- 95% of respondents travel though the Cosham area and travel by ‘car / van’ is the most popular transportation option with respondents (81%)
- Just over a third of respondents usually walk through Cosham (35%), just over a quarter cycle (26%), and less than a quarter use ‘public transport’ (23%)
- Respondents that play football in the local area are more likely to be travelling through Cosham by ‘car / van’ versus those that do not play football in the local area (+11 percentage points)
- There is a large difference in results for use of ‘public transport’ between those who play football in the local area and those who do not, with 11% of respondents who play football in the local area reporting to using this option versus 34% of respondents who do not play football in the local area (+23 percentage points)
- ‘Car / van’ is the most common travel option for all cohorts; however, it is lowest amongst respondents living ‘south of Portsmouth’ (71%), which is a decrease of 16 percentage points when compared to overall response rates
- A higher proportion of respondents walk in the ‘immediate area’, with an increase of +38 percentage points when compared with overall responses
