- Over half of respondents (55%) do not play football within the Cosham / Portsmouth area while the remaining 45% report that they do play football in these areas
- Over two-thirds of males play football within the Cosham / Portsmouth area (38%), which makes them more likely to play to play football locally than females (+12 percentage points)
- Younger respondents are more likely to play football locally; 68% of 25-34 year olds play football within Portsmouth/ Cosham compared to 8% of over 65s
- Over half of respondents within the ‘immediate area’ of King George V Playing Fields play football within the Cosham / Portsmouth area (53%); this drops six percentage points to 47% for ‘north of Portsmouth’ and drops 11 percentage points to 42% in the ‘south of Portsmouth’
- Over half of respondents from ‘outside Portsmouth’ report to playing football within the Cosham / Portsmouth area, which may indicate that respondents within this demographic are willing to travel out of area in order to play football
