Views on air pollution

• Views on the impact of engine idling are similar when compared to Wave 1 results, although respondents who were already conscious about engine idling have stronger views on the statements – there is a 5 percentage point increase of respondents strongly agreeing with the statement ‘turning off your engine while stationary helps to protect peoples health’
• A majority of respondents strongly agree or agree that switching off their engine when stationary ‘helps to reduce vehicle emissions’ (76%), ‘helps to protect peoples health’ (74%) and ‘helps to improve air quality’ (73%)
