Objective 1
Maximise the usable housing stock in the city by supporting owners of empty private residential properties to return them to functional homes.
Objective 2
Tackle the problems that empty properties cause local residents, particularly focussing upon environmental issues.
Objective 3
Work in a more joined up way across Council departments who have an interest in addressing the issues related to empty properties and broaden the way the Council works with external partners.
Objective 4
Intervene at the earliest opportunity after a property becomes empty, to reduce the number of properties that become empty long-term, and the issues associated with this.
