E-scooter rental trial: Awareness of trial

Summary

• The majority of respondents were aware of the e-scooter rental trial scheme (97%), with respondents aged over 65 least aware of the scheme (95%). This has risen significantly compared to wave one (prior to the trial) where 65% of respondents were aware of the trial that would be launching in Spring 2021
• The majority of respondents were also aware of Voi’s on-street ambassador staff associated with the scheme (69%), although nearly a third were unaware of these (31%)

97% of respondents in wave two of the research are aware of the trial scheme which has been running since March 2021, 3% are unaware. In wave one of the research, 65% of respondents were aware of the trial scheme which would be launching in Spring 2021, and 35% were unaware; Of those aged 16-24, 98% were aware of the trial and 2% were unaware; Of those aged 25-34, 99% were aware of the trial and 1% were unaware; Of those aged 35-44, 97% were aware of the trial and 3% were unaware; Of those aged 45-54, 98% were aware of the trial and 2% were unaware; Of those aged 55-64, 97% were aware of the trial and 3% were unaware; Of those aged 65+, 95% were aware of the trial and 5% were unaware.
