  • The most important reason respondents have decided to use the trial scheme is for the environment / sustainability, with nearly half of respondents feeling this was very important to them (48%), followed by 43% of respondents who feel using the rental e-scooters for leisure / fun was very important
  • The least important reason respondents have decided to use the trial is ‘as it is discounted for specific groups’, with 61% saying this is not at all important to them
  • Of the respondents who selected ‘Other’, 38% have used the trial to avoid using other forms of transport, and 14% have used it to avoid car and bike parking issues
  • Compared to Wave Two, environment / sustainability is consistently ‘very important’ to just under half of respondents (48%). However, it is currently the most important reason for using the trial scheme (Wave Three), whereas in Wave Two ‘leisure / fun’ was most important
  • The proportion of respondents who use the trial to try something new / different has reduced since Wave Two (40% feel this is very important compared to 49% in Wave Two), and the proportion who use the trial to save time has also decreased (39% feel this is very important, compared to 44% in Wave Two)
