Overall feelings towards e-scooters

• Overall, the proportion of respondents feeling negatively towards rental e-scooters has increased since the first and second waves. Positive feelings have reduced
• The younger the respondent, the more likely they are to feel positive about the trial; 41% of 16-24 year olds feel very positively, compared to 4% of those over 65
• Nearly two thirds of trial users feel ‘very positive’ about rental e-scooters (62%), whereas 56% of non-users feel ‘very negative’ about rental e-scooters
• Slightly more males feel positive about rental e-scooters than females, although a similar proportion feel very negatively
• There is little difference between those with a disability and those without a disability
• Respondents with a learning disability feel most positively about rental e-scooters compared to those with other disabilities (25% feel very positive)
• The majority of respondents with a sight impairment feel very negative about rental e-scooters (69%), although nearly a quarter feel positive about them (23%)
