Summary
- Residents aged 45-54 are, most likely to disagree (11%), with objective 2 (support the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors through flexible and clear parking systems, using new technologies)
- Variation between other groups is smaller, however, those aged 35-44, residents living in PO4 and PO5 and people living outside of PO1-PO6 are more likely to disagree with objective 2
- The main reason respondents disagree with objective 2 is fear that new technology and parking systems will cost a lot of money, both in terms of capital outlay and subsequent usage (27%)
- The next most frequent reasons given for disagreeing are that there is not enough focus on the residents and their parking needs (18%), that the proposed solution won’t fix the problem (13%), and general negativity towards the council (11%)
