• 71% of respondents agree with action 7 – raising awareness about air pollution to reduce personal exposure
• 28% of those who agree with action 7 do so because they feel awareness and education around this topic is important whilst 9% comment that it protects the vulnerable in society. 7% comment that tangible support or practical advice is needed in addition to awareness raising to facilitate behaviour change in this area; the same proportion comment that the action is common sense and obvious
• Those who disagree with the action do so mainly because they feel it doesn’t address the root causes of air pollution, that it is blaming the victims rather than punishing the polluters, and that people should not have to lead limited lives because of air pollution
• Those with a neutral stance make similar points whilst additionally pointing out that people cannot avoid air pollution and still need to be able to get on with their everyday lives
