Eligibility and appointment invitations

• The vast majority of respondents report that they have been eligible for a cervical screening in the last 3-5 years (94%); 6% report that they are unsure if they have been eligible. Please note: anyone responding ‘no’ to this question was removed from the survey
• Older respondents are less likely to be sure that they have been eligible in the last 3-5 years; 29% are unsure
• The vast majority of respondents report that they have been invited to a cervical screening (92%), whilst 4% have not and the same proportion are unsure
• Most were invited via a letter (71%) and a quarter were invited by text. Smaller proportions were invited by the NHS app, email, or were reminded by their practice when they spoke to them. 11% can’t remember how they were invited to their most recent appointment.

Of those aged 25-34 years, 96% reporting being eligible in the last 3-5 years, whilst 4% are unsure.
Of those aged 35-44 years, 97% reporting being eligible in the last 3-5 years, whilst 3% are unsure.
Of those aged 45-54 years, 96% reporting being eligible in the last 3-5 years, whilst 4% are unsure.
Of those aged 55-64 years, 91% reporting being eligible in the last 3-5 years, whilst 9% are unsure.
Of those aged 65-74 years, 71% reporting being eligible in the last 3-5 years, whilst 29% are unsure.
